The EOS 5D Mark IV with Canon Log camera can be a more sophisticated moviemaking tool by adding Canon Log through an optional feature upgrade. Once the camera is upgraded, you can use the Canon Log mode to record 4K and Full HD video files that feature an increased dynamic range of up to approx. As for video, you need a 5D Mark IV or 1DX Mark II or some other of the newest, cheaper models to get Servo AF in video mode. The 1DX Mark II does allow this video Servo AF to be configured either to run only when you are recording video, or also when recording is paused. Maybe the other cameras work the same there.
A significant percentage of raw shooting advocates end up with processed raw images looking no better than sooc jpegs anyway. There are advantages in shooting jpegs.
