Greetings Fiat fans! After several years of driving cars with conventional automatic gearboxes, I am now deeply tempted to purchase a Qubo with Dualogic gearbox. However, I am informed by Fiat Central Control that no auto box Qubo is available to test drive in the entire UK. Tricky, as I have never driven a car with a Dualogic gearbox.
I drive, amongst motorhomes, a 2014 Ducato minibus. Used on an actual bus timetable so lots and lots of clutch operations (manual gearbox). At about 35000 miles the clutch slave cylinder failed. Cost of part £120 , cost of complete job (gearbox off and on and clutch bleeding etc.) £900. Fiat: DUCATO: 07-16: 6 SP FWD: L4 2.3L 3.0L: MaxusDatong: Gear Set Governor Kit Auto Shift, Kit Stick Shift, Shift Correction Kit So opting for an MJ 150 with ComfortMatic gearbox would have cost £2650 (£1160 + £1490) more than having a Ducato with MJ 130 motor and manual transmission. My own view is that (irrespective of whether the transmission is manual or ComfortMatic) if a motorhome will weigh more than 3200kg when normally loaded, it would be preferable to opt
