hello, I've recently become very interested in modding my old GBA SP AGS-001, I already have a few mods planned for it but the biggest one I want to do it mod the screen. As many of you know, the AGS 001's screen kinda sucks big time, I'm wanting to replace it with a AGS-101 screen and I am aware I need a voltage regulator of some kind as well

Tried to Google it and could only find replacement LCDs that supposedly work for both my old GBA SP (AGS-001) and the brighter GBA SP (AGS-101). I'm rather skeptical about the compatibility since I've read that the screens from AGS-001 and AGS-101 are not interchangeable, and that some LCDs DO NOT include the front lit display.
Without question the IPS screen is a huge upgrade compared to the AGS-101. Before I had the IPS and the 101 I played a lot of GBA games on the DS Lite and I was actually quite surprised to find that it seemed to be the worst out of the three. I prefer 101 just as much as ips. You'll know when you try other games then pokemon.
