Push a thin blade screwdriver gently at the top of the gaitor between car body and rubber gaitor it will then come away from the car body. Push the gaitor back and check for any braking wires, insulation cuts etc. Then I would blame the door lock jamming.

When KESSY is activated the doors will unlock if the key is within a foot or so of the car. When deactivated you can hold the key against the door handle and it won't unlock. The only downside is that you must remember to deactivate every time you lock the car. I keep the key in a drawer in the lounge at the back of the house.
